About Us

A group of teachers meetingThe Texas Association for the Education of Young Children is a professional membership association that works to increase access to high-quality early childhood education and to advance a diverse, well-prepared, and well-compensated early childhood profession. With nearly 3,000 members and 20 local chapters, TXAEYC is the largest membership organization in the state of Texas for early childhood professionals and is committed to providing programs and services that equitably meet the needs of young children, their families, and early childhood professionals. We are an affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the Southern Early Childhood Association, and the Associate Degree Early Childhood Teacher Educators.

TXAEYC empowers and inspires a community of early childhood professionals through advocacy, resources, and collaboration to effectively serve young children and their families.

The Southern Early Childhood Association (SECA) is committed to Southern issues and improving the quality of care and education for young children with their families through advocacy and professional development. Thousands of individuals working in every aspect of child care and early childhood belong to SECA.
The Associate Degree Early Childhood Teacher Educators Association (ACCESS) supports and advocates for associate degree programs in the preparation of early childhood professionals who teach and care for young children from birth through age 8 across a variety of programs; and the instructors who teach in those programs.
