The President’s Trust Fund
We are currently accepting applications for the 2019 Presidents Trust Fund recipients. Deadline EXTENDED until August 15, 2019!
The purpose of the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children is to celebrate, educate and advocate for children, families and the early childhood profession. In keeping with this philosophy, the President’s Trust Fund supports educational opportunities for Texas AEYC members currently involved in the enrichment of the lives of young children. A monetary grant of $500 may be used by the recipient to cover expenses incurred for professional and leadership development in the field of early childhood.
We also excited to announce a new scholarship that will be awarded this year. The additional scholarship will focus on supporting children with challenging behaviors or mental health special needs (i.e., ADHD, autism, sensory processing disorder). In addition to early childhood professionals, this award is open to parents/guardians of young children who exhibit these challenges, who need not be current members of TXAEYC. In order to be eligible for either scholarship, educators must be a current member of TXAEYC and agree to using the scholarship award to continue their professional development in the field of early childhood education.
The winners will be announced in Frisco at the conference during the Presidents Reception on September 27, 2019.
Please complete and submit your application by July 31, 2019 August 15, 2019. Completed application forms should be submitted via email to yinkacharles@gmail.com.
Thank you and good luck!
