GO GREEN!

Thursday September 30th
8:00 am – 12:00 pm
Cost:  $20.00  (includes Go Green Rating Scale)

Workshop Description

Everyone is talking about “green”. We know that green is a critical element of program quality, but what exactly is it and how do we know when we get there? The Go Green Rating Scale for Early Childhood Settings (Redleaf Press) sets the national and international standard for environmental health and stewardship in the early care setting. The rating scale contains 64 guidelines and over 300 measurable criteria covering everything from pesticides to plastics, cleaners to conservation, organics to air quality, and more. Each guideline is measured on a graduated scale, leading the user toward clear and quantifiable best management practices. This interactive training will include hands-on demonstrations and group problem solving so that participants will feel comfortable  assessing their sites, developing a ‘green plan’, and communicating to parents about the reasons and incentives for change. Each Participant registered for this session will receive a FREE GO GREEN RATING SCALE signed by Phil!
