Start Small, Finish Big: Why YOU Make a Difference for Children
As early childhood practitioners, you create nurturing, challenging environments for our youngest children–environments that benefit them today and in the years to come. Research shows that when young children’s lives are enriched with quality early experiences, they do better in school and in later life.

Faculty Teaching Modules: A Resource to Help Students Find and Use Research
Future early childhood professionals must be prepared to incorporate evidence-based practices into their decision-making. Yet busy faculty members may find it challenging to help students gain this knowledge. The session will introduce participants to six Faculty Teaching Modules, which draw on the search functions and resources of the Child Care and Early Education Research Connections Web site. The Modules’ activities can easily be included in courses such as child development; curriculum; family relationships; and the early childhood profession. In the session we will do sample on-line searches, review materials, and plan how these resources may be adapted for various professional development purposes
