Successful Collaboration for Early Childhood Partnerships Training Modules

Designed for School District Early Childhood Administrators and Early Learning Center Owners/Directors. If you are currently in a partnership or interested in learning about potential partnership models, you are highly encouraged to attend.

Partnership Development Series: Successful Collaboration for Early Childhood Partnerships.
Virtual Learning Series

Successful collaboration is a crucial element in all working and learning environments. These modules have been intentionally designed for all stages of partnership development including Vision and Goal Setting, Collaborative Decision Making, Leadership Transitions, and much more! We are confident that you will find these sessions engaging, valuable, and full of tools that are applicable in all aspects of your work including how the current COVID-19 crisis has impacted early education.  Modules can be taken independently or as a comprehensive set.

Partnership Overview (Module 1): Register HERE
In this session, designed for school district early childhood administrators and early learning program owners and directors, participants will learn about the framework for early learning partnerships. Discussion includes history of the RECESS initiative and how it supports HB3, formal and informal partnership models, and partnership support resources.
Tuesday, January 19
10:00 am - 11:30 am

MOU Development (Module 2): Register HERE

A partnership formal agreement explains the contract between partners bringing together expectations, roles, and responsibilities developed around the infrastructure and goals of the partnership.  In this session, participants will learn about potential delivery models for formal and informal partnerships including "buckets" of consideration in partnership development.

Tuesday, January 26
10:00 am - 11:30 am

Setting the Stage for Partnerships through Relationship Building and Vision and Goal Setting (Module 3): Register HERE

Having a shared vision is necessary to develop a common focus between parties that unifies efforts and determines the path for success. This session will help guide partners to build relationships and create shared goals needed to be accomplished to successfully implement the vision.

Tuesday, February 2
9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Collaborative Decision Making and Reaching Peaceful Resolutions (Module 4): Register HERE
In partnerships, collaborative decision making is important to encourage buy-in, teamwork, and a sense of value for all partners. Differing points of view should open up new thoughts of possibilities but can result in communication breakdowns. This session will examine tools to facilitate positive resolutions when miscommunication occurs.

Tuesday, February 9
9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Evaluative Tools to Determine Progress (Module 5): Register HERE

Evaluation can identify partnership strengths and areas for improvement in processes, structure, planning, and activity implementation. This session will explore tools that gather data, establish accountability, and create a sense of accomplishment.

Tuesday, February 16
9:00 am - 11:00 am

Leadership Transitions (Module 6): Register HERE

Change is inevitable in any team, organization, or partnership and is a natural part of life. The impact can be determined by the preparation made before any personnel change occurs. This session will explore the need for transition preparation during the partnership development phase.
Tuesday, February 23
9:00 am - 11:00 am
