TXAEYC and CCEI say thank you to Texas teachers this Teacher Appreciation Week!

It’s no secret - educators leave indelible marks on the lives of their students. Teachers impact virtually every aspect of their kids’ lives.

That’s just one reason the National PTA designates the first full week of May as Teacher Appreciation Week, a special time to honor the individuals who lend their passion and skills to educating this country’s children.

And that’s why our friends at ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI), the no. 1 provider of online professional development dedicated exclusively to the early care and education workforce, is thanking TXAEYC’s members this week with a chance to win $500 worth of Amazon eGift Cards, as well as one Self-Study Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification Training Package (valued at $850).

Beginning Monday, May 2, CCEI will award two $50 Amazon eGift Cards a day to our members. And at the end of the week, one lucky member will receive a CCEI Self-Study CDA Certification Training Package, which will allow them to meet the 120 clock hours of professional development required by The Council for Professional Recognition in order to obtain the National CDA Credential.

TXAEYC is proud to support early childhood educators in obtaining their credentials and degrees through our T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Texas® Scholarship Program. We are fortunate to provide scholarships to hundreds of outstanding educators across Texas. Our T.E.A.C.H. Scholars represent the high-quality educators that all young children deserve! Jessica, Lauren, and Caroline are a few our fantastic T.E.A.C.H. Scholarship Recipients.
Picture of Smiling Woman “I believe that the best moments as a teacher are when a child unknowingly accomplishes something that as a teacher you know they have struggled with.  It is a silent type of pride.  Although you have set up multiple opportunities for this child to practice a needed skill, it is ultimately the determination and perseverance of the child that conquers the task.” - Jessica Chambers - Director at Learning Ladder - Rhome, Texas

Woman Smiling “I fell in love with the idea of being able to work with young children.  I love that I get to work with them to accomplish goals. Every time I get to witness a child grow developmentally is a proud moment.  I love to see how my children meet their milestones from the lesson plans I created.” - Lauren Isaac -
Teacher at Little Wonderland Childcare - San Antonio, Texas

“I want to teach young children so that they will be hungry to learn.  I want to inspire and motivate children and set a fire inside of them that is never extinguished.”
- Caroline Moses -
Family Home Provider - San Antonio, Texas
